Description
Zaprice castle is the home of the permanent exhibitions of the Intermunicipal Museum Kamnik. Among other topics, the highlight the life in the city of Kamnik and its surroundings from the first known paleontological findings, the first settlements, and the formation of the town until the 19th century, life in the Kamnik mountains, everyday life of the Kamnik bourgeoisie in the 19th century and production of Thonet’s bentwood furniture in Kamnik. The temporary exhibition Joyful to Kamnikshowcasing the stormy 1960s in Kamnik, will still be open.
Admission to the museum and the self-guided Adventure Lab Adventure are free. However, we invite you to seize the opportunity to visit the museum with an expert guide. They will reveal many interesting backgrounds about the exhibits and life in Kamnik in ancient and not-so-ancient times. You will also complete the Adventure in the process.
The guided visit takes 60 minutes. Maximum 25 people per group. The start of the guided tour in Slovenian is at 11.45. Attendees meet at the entrance to the museum at 11.45. Guided tours are booked online, while tickets are paid for and collected at the Slovenian Geocaching Club stall at the Block Party event.
